The Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS) is a local, independent non-profit in Jacksonville, FL.

JHS serves Jacksonville and outlying areas in an animal control capacity and is a no kill shelter. As of 2014 Jacksonville became the nation’s largest no kill city.

JHS opened our new Adoption, Education and Pet Help Center in 2017 on our Beach Boulevard Property. JHS first moved onto this land in 1920 and has been operating on its grounds since.
