National S’mores Day

The most popular campfire treat is celebrated each year on August 10th. This delicious, sticky and gooey treat is loved by millions across the United States. Traditionally, S’mores consist of roasted marshmallows, a slab of chocolate, and is enclosed by graham crackers making a yummy sandwich! Credited with creating the sandwich is Girl Scout Loretta Crew, her recipe for ‘Some Mores’ was published in ‘Tramping and Trailing With The Girl Scouts’.
